XRS-2 PhotosLTTO and Launch →A Cloudy Day in Kimotsuki-cho

Lush greenery fades away from the graceful lines of traditional Japanese architecture to the horizon high above, flecked with two parabolic dishes, both in the up-facing stowed position. (100K JPEG)

No launch today; lots of rain and wind when the launch was planned. The weather cleared up some after the launch window ended, giving us this view of the 34 meter and 20 meter antennas from the town. The town used to be called Uchinoura, but it merged with its neighbor on July 1, and now it's called Kimotsuki-cho.
