The tangly mass of shiny gold bits comprising the top of the helium insert protrudes from the much larger aluminum disk of the support stand, as a clean-suited engineer examines it closely with a small mirror on a long stick. (100K JPEG)

Next the FEA lid is attached. This keeps out stray heat, and supports the next of the five blocking filters. As always, we need to inspect carefully to make sure everything is in place, and clean.
